A meaningful journey begins with the right environment, the right guidance and experiences that help strengths come forward.
Who We Are
Established in 2025, Ved Foundation is a residential special school in Thane supporting children with intellectual disabilities, autism and developmental needs.
Our environment brings together education, care, practical learning and everyday development in one place. The focus is on helping children strengthen useful abilities, take part more actively in daily life and build the confidence to do more for themselves over time.
Learning here extends beyond academics. Activities, routines, creative expression, movement, vocational exposure and daily living experiences all become part of a larger journey of development.
What We Do
Education at Ved extends into life skills, vocational learning, therapies, sports, creative expression and digital exposure.
These experiences are designed to make learning more practical, engaging and connected to everyday life. Children get opportunities to explore interests, practise useful skills, take part in activities and develop abilities that can support them across different areas of life.
The aim is to make each experience meaningful, purposeful and relevant to the child's journey.
Our Vision
Our vision is to nurture children with the practical abilities, confidence and life skills that help them manage everyday situations with greater self-reliance.
We see progress in the ability to take part, make choices, practise daily routines, use learned skills and gradually take on more for oneself.
The future we work towards is one where children are better equipped to participate in life with confidence, dignity and a stronger sense of capability.
Our Mission
Our mission is centred on meaningful education, skill development, care and practical experiences that support participation in everyday life.
Learning is connected with real situations so that children can practise, apply and strengthen what they develop through the day.
Through consistent guidance and varied experiences, we aim to make learning useful, relevant and connected to life beyond the classroom.
Our Approach
Each child brings a different set of strengths, interests and ways of learning. Our approach begins by recognising that individuality and creating experiences that suit the child's pace and abilities.
Learning is encouraged through participation, repetition, activity and real-life practice. Classroom learning, movement, creativity, routines and daily experiences all contribute to development in different ways.
Progress is valued through what the child is able to understand, practise and apply over time.
Our Goals
Support practical abilities that make routines and daily tasks more manageable.
Create more opportunities to engage in learning, activities and community life.
Build useful abilities through academic, vocational, digital, creative and physical experiences.
Help children become more prepared, capable and confident in handling everyday situations.
Our Values
Respect for individuality, effort and personal progress.
Creating meaningful chances to learn, practise and participate.
Valuing each person, their pace and their journey.
Encouraging belonging, involvement and shared experiences.
Building awareness, participation and practical capability in everyday life.
Our Team
The work we do is shaped by people who guide, teach, care and contribute across different parts of the child's journey. Our leadership, trustees, educators, development professionals and care team come together with a shared purpose — to create an environment that supports meaningful learning, participation and progress.
